05ANIMAL TESTING SERVICES
ATEC Ltd provides an extensive range of animal research and testing services for tissue engineering and related activities including:
- in vivo bio-toxicity and bio-stability analysis;
- angiogenesis inhibition and augmentation assays; and
- a variety of unique in vivo models for target tissue growth, expansion and testing (including cardiac, pancreatic and adipose tissue) based on the use of our proprietary tissue engineering chambers.
ATEC Ltd offers full husbandry and testing services in a variety of small to medium sized animal models. By utilizing a team of expert consultants ATEC Ltd can design and tailor the animal test-model to suit our clients most exacting pre-clinical requirements.
ANIMAL TESTING SERVICES
The facilities available for our clients include three independent surgical suites, dedicated to:
- small animal surgery (4 tables)
- large animal surgery (1 table)
- restricted surgery (1 table, used for immunocompromised animals)
In terms of expertise, fully trained and experienced surgical (and microsurgery) staff and assistants are available, and a designated Project Director will be assigned as the customer’s point of contact to oversight all processes, procedures, and outcome reporting.
All animal research is performed following approval by the St Vincent’s Hospital Animal Research Ethics Committee, and in compliance with
The Australian Code of Practice for the Care and Use of Animals for Scientific Purposes (NHMRC 7th Edition, 2004).
